One Punch Man Season 3: Release Date, Plot, Trailer
In 2023, ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ season 2 put the finishing touch on an excellent year for anime. But this year, we had the second part of the masterful first season of ‘Frieren: After the Journey Ends’ and a debut of the caliber of ‘Solo Leveling’. Seasons 4 of ‘Kimetsu no Yaiba’ and 7 of My Hero Academia also arrive in the spring. 2024, already in the first half of the year, has every chance of becoming a historic year for the genre. And if that were not enough, comes the only hero capable of truly enduring a debate of strength with Goku, the invincible Saitama.
Season 3 of ‘One Punch Man’, the story created by mangaka ONE (also author of the brilliant ‘Mob Psycho 100’), continues to grow, and it remains to be seen if anyone can put this super powerful protagonist in trouble, who is starting to get tired of beating everyone with a single punch.
One Punch Man season 3 release date and where to watch it
‘One Punch Man’ is a series that is taking its time. It has short 12-episode seasons with above-average gaps. Season 1 of ‘One Punch Man’ arrived in 2015. For Season 2, we had to wait 4 years, until 2019. But with Season 3, they have outdone themselves. In 2024, five years after Season 2, everything points to the fact that we will finally have Season 3 of ‘One Punch Man’.
Season 2 is available on Crunchyroll, while season 1 gained popularity on Netflix but has since vanished from the platform. The most curious thing is that season 1 is also available.
In any case, it is normal for season 3 to arrive on Crunchyroll in Japanese with English subtitles. Season 3 of ‘One Punch Man’ has not yet confirmed a release date, but it is expected this year. However, we do not rule out that it will be quite late.
“One Punch Man season 3”: Plot and arcs of the manga that will be adapted
Everything that the ‘One Punch Man’ anime lacks, it makes up for in the speed at which it adapts the manga. The 24 episodes of the first two seasons of the anime adapt the first 170 chapters of the manga. And that’s despite the fact that ONE’s manga is quite agile; in fact, these 84 chapters cover 15 different arcs.
Now it’s time to get into the Neo Heroes Saga with the ‘Psychic Sisters Arc’, the ‘Neo Heroes Introduction Arc’, and the ‘Ninja Arc’. There are only 30 issues in total, so if the adaptation follows the usual pace, it wouldn’t even be enough for 5 chapters. In fact, that may be the reason for the anime’s delay. However, they are arcs that are quite loaded with plot, and perhaps they would be enough for a season. If this were ‘One Piece’, there would be material for 50 chapters…
