Zack Snyder 300 Series Announced by Warner Bros
Warner Bros. Television is creating a new television series based on Frank Miller’s famous comic book series and the “300” films. Following the success of the 2006 film directed by Zack Snyder and its sequel, “300: Rise of an Empire,” in 2014, the “300”” universe is now expanding to the small screen.
Zack Snyder could return as director
Snyder is rumored to be returning as director and executive producer for this new series. Although the project is in a very early stage of development, Snyder’s participation could ensure continuity in the visual and narrative styles that characterize the films. Currently, there is no confirmed writer or platform for the project.
The series is expected to serve as a prequel to the 2006 film, exploring events before the legendary Battle of Thermopylae. The original film, starring Gerard Butler as King Leonidas, chronicled the fight of 300 Spartans against the vast Persian army led by Xerxes. Frank Miller and Lynn Varley‘s comic series, which debuted in 1998, offered a dramatic and stylized reinterpretation of these historical events.
