Who is David Band, Madonna’s son who made his catwalk debut at New York Fashion Week?
Madonna’s son David Banda made his official modeling debut during New York Fashion Week. The 18-year-old was at Off-White’s Spring 2025 collection presentation on Sunday.
David thus joins his sister Lourdes Leon, who has also already walked the catwalk at this fashion event for Versace, Marine Serre and Luis de Javier.
During the event, Banda, who is also a musician , made his entrance on the catwalk in a collared vest, black pants, statement earrings, mini gloves and flip-flops.
The young man’s debut was seen by celebrities attending the show, including singer Camila Cabello, actress Issa Rae , and Olympic gymnast Suni Lee.
Also parading alongside Banda was Beyoncé’s nephew, Daniel “Jules” J. Smith Jr., Solange Knowle’s son.
Following the event, Madonna shared a series of Instagram stories from the event’s afterparty, including one that featured Off-White creative director Ib Kamara.

Earlier in 2022, the pop queen had mentioned during Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show that her son Banda, like her, had an affinity for fashion. That year, the two were photographed wearing a replica of the Adidas dress the singer wore in 1993.
“He can put on any outfit and look classy like you know what,” Madonna said. “It’s really irritating. He wears my clothes and looks better in them.” She added: “He can even wear a dress.”
“He also does music now. He’s going to end up being one of your guests,” she told Fallon in that interview.
In May of this year, David posted a series of photos on his Instagram where he gave an account of his career as a musician. He even visited Prince’s studio in Paisley Park. As a tribute to the singer, the young man wore a floral suit with a lace top with a scarf while sitting at the late musician’s mixing desk.
