Bruce Willis’ daughter responds to ‘cruel comments’ about her appearance
After meeting and sharing a fun family moment on social media, Tallulah Willis (30) had no qualms about confronting unpleasant comments about her physical appearance. The youngest daughter of Bruce Willis and actress Demi Moore responded strongly to a “troll” who intended to make fun of the physical resemblance between the young women and their father.
It all happened after a video was released on Monday, a clip showing Tallulah dancing alongside her sisters Scout and Rumer Willis. Also in the group is Demi Moore, the Armageddon actor’s ex-wife and mother of the trio.
This video was filmed to celebrate the release of “Over and Over,” a new song in Scout Willis’ musical foray and artistic field, into which she debuted in 2021.
“I must be God’s favorite nepo baby to have such a supportive family,” the 33-year-old singer wrote.
Hundreds of Internet users commented on the Instagram post; however, several ‘trolls’ took the opportunity to mock the sisters’ physical appearance. Tallulah shared several screenshots that she found offensive, stating that she was watching them.
“It’s like Bruce Willis has cloned himself three times,” reads one message. “I’ve always wondered how two such stunning people have such unattractive daughters… But it’s because they look like their dad!” another user quipped.
In the post, which she deleted shortly after and was described by Page Six, the young woman responded by exposing cyberbullying that was crossing the line. “Hey! You guys probably saw this viral video of our family dancing to Scout’s new song. We love this video!” she wrote.
“What a joy to share this! People always seem shocked when we share how cruel and mean the comments have been about us all our lives, so it’s important for me to draw attention to this person to highlight an example of typical Tuesday trash,” she said, according to the entertainment tabloid.
Finally, Tallulah ended her message by thanking God for the song her sister released and the therapy she received.
This is not the first time the fashion designer has been criticized by haters online. For several years, she shared with the public the insecurities she felt about her body. She also sought help at the age of 25, when she was caught up in eating disorders and depression.
On the other hand, Tallulah has also become a prominent voice in autism awareness after receiving her diagnosis in 2023. At 30 years old, Willis decided to use her platform to raise awareness about autism spectrum disorder (ASD), especially in women, who are often misdiagnosed or diagnosed late.
“Because I was diagnosed with autism later in life, I am still exploring how it affects my day-to-day life,” the young woman told people in June of this year.
Willis’ commitment to the cause has led her to take on a prominent role in the neurodivergent community. The nonprofit Autism Speaks announced that Willis will host its Los Angeles Gala on October 24, 2024, where she will also be honored for her work raising awareness.
“It is a privilege to be supported by advocates like Tallulah in bringing attention to the most pressing issues facing the autism community,” said Georgianna Junco-Kelman, a board member.
