Wrong Side of the Tracks Season 4: Release Date, Cast & More
It was a surprise in 2022 as one of the most successful open-air series in recent years, but Wrong Side of the Tracks experienced its worst stage with its long-awaited season 3 when it premiered on Netflix in the fall of last year. A season for which we had to wait just over a year but which brought back Tirso (José Coronado), Irene (Nona Soba), and the rest of the inhabitants of Madrid again for eight episodes.
Three months after its broadcast on open television, the third season of Wrong Side of the Tracks was already available in full on Netflix, where it experienced a second life of success, which shows that it is one of the recent Spanish series that works best with the public.
Despite the good expectations and excitement about the new faces joining the show in its new phase, season 3 of Wrong Side of the Tracks did not experience its best reception in its debut, and the first episode was already disappointing with audience figures that were far from the excellent figures it had recorded in the first and second seasons, with close to two million viewers.
However, even though the third season was not exactly its best stage, Wrong Side of the Tracks is already guaranteed a fourth installment since it was commissioned at the same time as the third. Take note below of everything we know about Wrong Side of the Tracks season 4:
Wrong Side of the Tracks season 4 release date
There is still no confirmed release date for the fourth season of the Telecinco series, but the future of the series is guaranteed.
Filming of the new episodes began at the same time as the premiere of the third season and, as planned, ended in January 2024. Thus, it is most likely that we will be able to enjoy the new episodes in the second half of 2024, although there is still no release date.
Where will season 4 of Wrong Side of the Tracks premiere?
While the three previous seasons have been released on the Netflix catalog in full—the third has just arrived on the platform—the poor audience figures for season 3 have given rise to rumors about the possibility of Mediaset changing its strategy for the debut of season 4.
Other details of season 4 of Wrong Side of the Tracks
At the moment, not many details about the new season have come to light, such as the new characters that will arrive in the neighborhood and which actors will join the cast to play them, but with filming already finished, it is only a matter of time before we begin to learn more details.
Still, it seems safe to count on the presence of José Coronado as Tirso and Nona Sobo as Irene, as well as most of the actors such as Luis Zahera or Natalia Dicenta, while, obviously, the characters who have died in season 3 do not return: Nata (María de Nati) and Tente (Alex Medina).
A few weeks ago, Nona Sobo shared a post about the end of filming, in which we can see her and the rest of the cast:
The image confirms that Nona Sobo will be back in season 4 following the shooting of Irene in the season 3 finale, which many took as a possible final outcome for her character.
On the other hand, it also seems quite likely that season 4 will be responsible for closing the story to put the finishing touch on the series, although the plans of the production company and the network regarding the fiction have not yet been confirmed.
