Trae Bell-Haynes’ Future at Casademont Zaragoza: Uncertainty Ahead
The Canadian point guard thanked the fans for their “support” and “kind words” throughout the season, without revealing whether he will continue in the Fisac project.
Once the regular phase of the Endesa League is over, teams and players begin to plan their future for next season. There are still the ‘play-offs’ for the title to be played, but at Casademont Zaragoza, they are thinking about the 2024–25 season. One of the entity’s main objectives is to retain one of the stars of the squad, Trae Bell-Haynes, whose continuity is not assured.
After playing the last game of the campaign in Gerona, the Canadian wrote an enigmatic message on the social network X. The point guard was grateful for the support he has received from the fans. However, he left his presence at Casademont Zaragoza next season up in the AI.
Not sure what’s going on for next year yet, but just wanted to say thank you for the support and kind words all season long. It has been greatly appreciated Zaragoza and Breogan fans ❤️💙

“I’m still not sure what will happen next year, but I just wanted to thank you for the support and kind words throughout the season,” said Bell-Haynes, who also claimed to feel “very appreciated” by the Casademont Zaragoza fans and Río Breogán.
In this way, the presence of the Canadian in Porfirio Fisac‘s squad next year remains even more up in the air. Of course, the Segovian coach himself, in an interview on Radio Marca Zaragoza, recently claimed to be “convinced” that he will continue to follow his orders. The same was predicted for the captain of Casademont, Santi Yusta, whose renewal was made official by the entity a few hours later.
Bell-Haynes has had a contract extension proposal from the Aragonese club for several weeks. However, the exit clause in case a Euroleague team is interested in him threatens his immediate future in Zaragoza.
