John Mulaney Olivia Munn Love Story: Cancer Couldn’t Break Them
The ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ actress lost both of her breasts and has had a tough battle against breast cancer. This is the story of Olivia Munn and the man who never left her in the midst of her most difficult moments.
Olivia Munn, an actress known for her role in films such as ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’, surprised everyone by revealing that she was diagnosed with breast cancer in April of last year.
Throughout her health struggle, which included having both breasts removed, the star had the unconditional support of her boyfriend, actor John Mulaney, with whom she shares her son Malcolm.
Like many Hollywood couples, they have a love story worth telling, especially now that they have made it clear that they are capable of supporting each other in such difficult times.
This is how Olivia Munn and John Mulaney met
It was in 2013 when Olivia Munn and John Mulaney, who was engaged to artist Anna Marie Tendler, met during the wedding of Seth Meyers and Alexi Ashe.
“We were at a wedding together, and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, you and your fiancée want to go to dinner or something and hang out?’” she told HuffPost in 2015.
“At first it was great, and then I kept approaching him at the wedding like, ‘Are you having a wonderful time?’” she recalled. “I was so obsessed with hanging out and talking to him,” she admitted.
She confessed that she sent an email to the screenwriter and received no response from him. “It’s possible that he had his email wrong, probably. That’s what I tell myself,” she joked.
In July 2014, Mulaney married Tendler, Us Magazine reports. That same year, Munn began a romance with American football player Aaron Rodgers, which lasted until 2017, according to InStyle.

Olivia Munn and John Mulaney have reportedly remained friends over the years, Entertainment Tonight reports in an article on March 13.
In December 2020, it was revealed that he had entered a rehabilitation center for 60 days for his alcoholism and addiction to illicit substances, and she expressed her support for him on Twitter (now X): “You can do this.”
Weeks later, on May 10, 2021, John’s rep told People that he was separating from Anna Marie Tendler, who, in her own statement, expressed regret that he “has decided to end” their marriage.
Just three days later, the outlet reported that Mulaney and Munn were dating. “This is very new; they are taking it slow,” a source said.
In June, they were finally photographed together, and in September, the actor revealed that the presenter was pregnant, this while appearing on ‘Late Night with Seth Meyers’.
“In the spring of 2021, I went to Los Angeles, where I met and began dating a wonderful woman named Olivia.” I got into this relationship that has been really beautiful with someone amazing. He said, “And we’re having a baby.”
In November of the same year, Olivia gave birth to her baby boy, Malcolm Hiệp Mulaney, whom she showed for the first time in December with a postcard on Instagram.

On Sunday, March 10, they attended the 2024 Academy Awards and an after-party hosted by Vanity Fair in Los Angeles, California.
After looking well and happy, the actress posted a message on Instagram in which she revealed the details of what she went through due to breast cancer. She recognized the actor for the effort he made to support her.
