Disney actress Skai Jackson, best known for her role in the series “Jessie and Bunk’d,” was arrested by police after an altercation with her boyfriend.

The 22-year-old faced domestic violence charges after the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed the incident.

Media outlets such as TMZ Page Six reported the incident, which occurred at the busy Universal CityWalk shopping center in Hollywood over the weekend.

According to the website, the venue’s security guards noticed the conflict between the actress and her boyfriend through the cameras, observing how, on more than one occasion, she pushed him. Given the situation, both were detained until the authorities from Los Angeles arrived at the scene.

Following her arrest on the misdemeanor charge of domestic violence, Jackson was cited and released after a few hours. Her case will be reviewed by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, which will determine whether formal charges will be filed.

Both Skai and her boyfriend denied any acts of physical violence between them. In addition, the aforementioned website assured that both defended themselves by claiming to be happily in love and expecting a baby.
