The Last of Us Will Need 3 Seasons to cover the Story of the Second Game in The Saga

The series “The Last of Us,” based on the popular video game, will need three additional seasons to adapt the second game in the saga. As reported by Deadline, creators Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann are considering splitting the sequel into three parts, which would take the series until 2029, not counting the third game that is already in development.

The second season will consist of only seven episodes, while the third will be longer, although the number of chapters has not yet been defined. We are also evaluating the possibility of a fourth season to encompass all the game’s events.

The fourth season would arrive in 2029.

If this news is confirmed, and considering the two years that have passed since the first and second seasons, 2023 and 2025, respectively, the fourth season could arrive in 2029. This could resolve the complaint of some fans about Bella Ramsey’s youthful appearance. She is currently 20 years old and would be 25 at the end of the decade.

Furthermore, with “The Last of Us 3” on the way, it is not ruled out that a hypothetical fourth season mixes the events of the second and third games, or even extends to five, six, or more seasons if success accompanies it.
