Jurassic World Rebirth: Release Date, Cast, Synopsis and More
The dinosaur universe from ‘Jurassic Park’ and ‘Jurassic World’ films will have a seventh installment, titled ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’. The dinomania started in 1993 by Steven Spielberg (based on the best-selling novel by Michael Crichton), and ‘Jurassic Park’ is the protagonist of one of the highest-grossing franchises in the history of cinema, and it was only a matter of time after knowing the results of its second trilogy that the producers got down to work on a new episode.
Screenwriter David Koepp, who wrote both the script for ‘Jurassic ‘ark’and it its sequel, ‘The Lost World’, has been chosen to reboot the saga and return it to its origins. Steven Spielberg will also produce the film through his company, Amblin Entertainment, along with Frank Marshall.
Jurassic World Rebirth Synopsis
“The planet’s ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs,” reads the official synopsis for Jurassic World Rebirth. “Those that remain exist in isolated equatorial environments with climates similar to the one in which they once thrived. The three most colossal creatures in that tropical biosphere hold the key to a drug that will bring miraculous, life-saving benefits to humanity.”
David Leitch, action stuntman and director of John Wick and The Fall Guy, who was in advanced talks to lead the production, ended up leaving the project because he felt (according to insiders) that he would not be allowed to contribute his point of view. In the end, the chosen one is Gareth Edwards, director of the Star Wars films ‘Rogue One’ and ‘The Creator’ (two science fiction films that stand out for their visual sections) and of the 2014 ‘Godzilla’, so he already has experience with giant lizards.
Perhaps it was time to recover the lost script for ‘Jurassic Park 4’, and that could have changed the franchise as we know it. In the leaked details of that draft, we learned that Keira Knightley was being approached to play John Hammond’s granddaughter and that the T-Rex was not going to be present. The main antagonists were going to be the velociraptors, and a possible biological mix between human and dinosaur DNA was dropped. DINO-HUMANS .
In addition to the script, several conceptual arts were also leaked, giving us an idea of what these dino-humans were going to be like and even showing us one of these creatures, a kind of mix between a raptor and a human, with a cannon for an arm.
Jurassic World Rebirth Release date
The theatrical release date for Jurassic World Rebirth has been set for July 2, 2025, just a week before ‘Superman: Legacy,’ and a fairly optimistic date considering the amount of post-production involved in a box office success like the films in the saga.

Jurassic World Rebirth Cast
The protagonist of this new Jurassic installment will be Scarlett Johansson, who will be accompanied by Mahershala Ali and Jonathan Bailey (The Bridgertons).
Johansson plays “Zora Bennett, a covert operations expert, hired to lead a trained team on a top-secret mission to secure genetic material from the world’s three largest dinosaurs,” according to a press release. “When Zora’s operation crosses paths with a civilian family whose boating expedition was capsized by marauding aquatic dinosaurs, they all find themselves stranded on an island where they come face to face with a sinister and shocking discovery that has been hidden from the world for decades.”
Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Russell Friend, Luna Blaise, David Iacono, Audrina Miranda, Béchir Sylvain, Philippine Velge, and Ed Skrein round out the cast. Mahershala Ali plays Zora’s companion, Duncan Kincaid; Bailey plays a paleontologist named Dr. Henry Loomis; and Russell Friend (“Homeland”) plays Martin Krebs, the representative of the pharmaceutical conglomerate financing the expedition.
None of the cast from the previous films are expected to reprise their roles, including stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard from the “Jurassic World” trilogy and franchise veterans Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum, who last made a cameo in “Jurassic World Dominion.”
Jurassic World Rebirth Images
In the first images from Jurassic World: Rebirth, we see paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis (Bailey) and covert operations expert Zora Bennett (Johansson) crouched in tall grass, presumably watching and/or hiding from a dinosaur. Also seen is Duncan Kincaid (Ali), who appears to be dressed in a military uniform, holding a lit flare.
