Britney Spears reveals the terrible accident she experienced at home: ‘It was really bad’

Britney Spears revealed that a few months ago she suffered a potentially fatal accident inside her home. The singer confessed to her Instagram followers the incident in which she ended up with burns on her face.

The Lucky singer posted a video where she described the whole incident. “I was in my room, I lit the fire and suddenly it exploded in my face.”

Britney added that her fireplace had “done that before,” and that it was usually her security staff who lit it.

“But this time, I threw it all in there, and it literally blew up in my face, burning off all my eyelashes, my eyebrows , and see these baby bangs? They’re… it sizzled all over my hair,” she added.

Britney also said she feared she had second or third degree burns and thought she would have to “go to the emergency room” because her “face looked like it was on fire.”

“It hurt to touch the phone. It hurt to put ice on my face. hurt to be touched. This went on for about six or seven hours. The pain never went away. It was so, so, so bad,” she said of the pain she experienced after the explosion.

The 42-year-old singer also said she resorted to taking the painkiller Tylenol to help her fall asleep, adding: “Yeah, it was really bad.” “Everything is fine right now,” she concluded.

The Princess of Pop explained that the pain lasted for several hours and was intense. “It hurt even to touch my phone. It hurt to put ice on my face. Anything I touched hurt,” she admitted.

She also confessed that “ this lasted for about six or seven hours . It happened around three in the morning. The pain never went away. It was very, very, very bad.”

This incident comes four years after Spears accidentally set fire to her home gym with two candles in 2020. At the time, the singer opened up about the incident on her social media.

“It was an accident… but yeah… I burned it. I walked through the gym door and flames… BOOM!” she said. Fortunately, in the gym incident, Spears reported that “by the grace of God, the alarm went off” and no one was hurt.
