British musician Ringo Starr, former drummer of The Beatles, cancelled his performance this Wednesday at Radio City Music Hall in New York and Tuesday in Pennsylvania with the All Starrs Band on the recommendation of his doctor, who asked him to rest due to a cold.
The 84-year-old musician informed his fans of the cancellation of the last two concerts of his “Crooked Boy” tour through a message on Instagram and Facebook.
“Ringo has caught a cold and after consulting a doctor he has been advised to cancel these two remaining shows and rest,” the statement said, adding that the money would be refunded.
“As always, Ringo and the All Starrs send peace and love to their fans and look forward to seeing them soon,” the message concludes.
The artist’s fans immediately regretted the cancellation and wished the famous ex-Beatle a speedy recovery.
“So sad! Wishing you a speedy recovery Ringo,” wrote Julie, who said she had tickets to the concerts at The Mann Pavilion in Philadelphia on Tuesday and tonight at New York’s famed Radio City. “But your health is the most important thing! Get well soon.”
“Ringo, I love you,” “Get well soon,” “We just want you to be healthy and happy,” were some of the good wishes from his fans.
Following the release of his EP “Crooked Boy,” Starr began his performances on May 22 in Las Vegas, with six concerts, after which he headed to Mexico City for two nights at the National Auditorium and returned to the United States to continue the tour, which culminated tonight in New York.
