New Horror Film 35th Street by Train to Busan Director

South Korean filmmaker Yeon Sang-ho, responsible for “Train to Busan,” is preparing to write and direct his first feature film in English, titled “35th Street,” for TriStar Pictures, Deadline reports.

Leonardo DiCaprio’s company Appian Way and WOW POINT will produce the film. Although the details of the plot are kept secret, it has been announced that it will be an action and horror film.

Yeon Sang-ho’s Z Trilogy

Yeon Sang-ho achieved global fame with his zombie film “Train to Busan” in 2016, which was followed by the animated prequel “Seoul Station” and the live-action sequel “Pipeline” in 2020, which notably lowered the bar. A remake made in the USA has been announced for several years now, but it doesn’t seem to get off the ground.

Recently, Yeon Sang-ho has worked on several horror television series, including “Hellbound, “Monstrous, and Parasyte: The Greys,”  among others.
