Marc Anthony Bogotá Concert: An Emotional Homecoming
Marc Anthony returned to his audience in the Colombian capital. The 55-year-old salsa singer, born in New York, father of seven children, winner of four Grammy Awards and eight Latin Grammy Awards, among other multiple world recognitions, played the stage of the Med Plus Coliseum on the road to Cota, where more than 13,000 fans were waiting to sing with him on a cold Bogotá night, but full of salsa.
At 10:20 pm, with an impressive intro and Pa´lla voy, Marc Anthony began his encounter with the audience. “Thank you, I see you; everything can be seen from here. Thank you very much for giving me the opportunity to share this night with you,” he greeted and immediately made his fans sigh with a loud kiss. That “muaaaaa,” accompanied by the heart sign he made with his hands, made the screams and applause double. “Tonight we are going to sing a little bit of everything in the land of the most beautiful women in the world. I am inspired, happy, and content.”
The party began immediately, with It was worth it, and it continued with songs like And there was someone. At the end, Marc Anthony, husband of the former queen Nadia Ferreira, showed off all his interpretative ability, which was perfectly complemented by Mario Uribe, his guitarist.
With salsa, Marc Anthony warmed up the Bogotá night.
On Med Plus night, the artist shouted, thrilled with his characteristic hip movements, applauded, and told the audience not to stop dancing. His emotion was so great that he did not hesitate to tell them, “I am a little nervous, but nothing to do with it; I am with my family; I am at home,”” he said with total confidence before the first chords of Ale Ale, “if you know it, sing it with me and wish me the best.”
With Historia Tour 2024, his musical tour that began in Washington in February, the son of Felipe Muñiz and Guillermina Rivera, who had promised to take his people on a journey through his discography, kept his promise. Classic songs like Tengo tanto miedo de perderte, Flor pálida, and Tu amor me hace bien were a sonorous tour through the musical stages of Marc Anthony, who appreciated, from the stage, how the audience gave themselves completely. Then came Qué precio tiene el cielo, Te conocí bien, and with Parecen Viernes, he closed his show. But the audience did not accept his departure, and with shouts of ¡otra! otra!, they asked for more, and Marc, happy, was ready to return. Although he promised one song, he said goodbye with two: Tu amor me hace bien, and Vivir mi vida.
