Princess Leonor on the high seas: this is the new routine of Letizia Ortiz’s daughter

Princess Leonor, the first-born daughter of King Felipe VI and Leticia Ortiz , began a new stage in her training as the future queen of Spain on January 11. The 19-year-old embarked with her 75 companions in the port of Cadiz on board the Juan Sebastián de Elcano school ship , where she will receive instruction in navigation, astronomy and meteorology for 5 months. Princess Sofia’s sister will visit Uruguay, Chile, Peru, Brazil, the Dominican Republic, the United States, Panama and Colombia . Once she arrives in New York, the King’s eldest daughter will take a flight to Spain, board a frigate and then meet up with her companions to complete the last part of the journey together, which will take them to Gijón, where they will disembark on July 7.

Princess Leonor will have a strict daily routine, identical to that of her companions. At 6:45 am her day begins , and after bathing and tidying her bunk, she has breakfast and prepares to take classes and training activities that, on the first day will be until 1:00 pm, the time set for lunch . After the second meal of the day, the first in the line of succession and her companions resume their academic activities. This day ends at 6:00 pm Before dinner, the midshipmen will be able to go to the port, entertain themselves in the common room or go to their cabins and will go to sleep at 10:30 pm.
