The news of Dennis Itumbi being abducted appears to be fake while articles stating he was arrested and taken to Parklands police station surfaced.
A witness said the vocal propagandist was picked up by four unknown men along Kiambu Road on Thursday as he left a barbershop.
The digital strategist of Deputy President William Ruto was forced to the back seat of a Toyota before they drove away said the witnesses.
He seemed to resist the two men, however, they confiscated his mobile phone. After the incident, the issue was reported to the police.
By the evening, his Mercedes-Benz was still parked in the parking lot. Politicians, police, and some reputed personalities also visited the scene.
Since the police didn’t release any statement with regard to this incident, Kenyans were worried and were waiting curiously for the statement.
However, just an hour ago, a source uncovered that the digital specialist was not abducted but arrested by three men.
The accurate reason, however, remains ascertained at the moment. According to the source, he is held at the Parklands Police station.
Just when we thought, he was arrested but not abducted, another exclusive news claiming he is not in the police station surfaced on the web.
His family stated that the journalist was not at the Parklands Police station and have speculated it to be some government official’s work.
The outspoken journalist reportedly has been exposing some business that senior renowned government officials have been doing.
As of which, his family and his lawyer believe it must be a political vendetta against him. They have urged the government to release him
Previously, on the 13th of August 2021, he claimed that his car was shot while he was allegedly driving in Garden Estate, Nairobi.
Upon visiting the scene, detectives couldn’t find any evidence substantiating that there was a shooting at the premises.
