He is described as a young racist and antisemitic that love guns above all things and he answers to the code name “OG”. This is how he is described in the revelations that The Washington Post newspaper has published in the last hours about the possible author of the leaks of state secrets in the United Statess. Thousands of confidential documents have come to light exposing Ukraine’s weaknesses in the war against Russia, but also sensitive operations of allied countries such as Israel and South Korea. the escape of “Top secret” documents It has opened a great crisis in the North American security agencies, which have already located the origin of the leaks in a group of workers who created a chat made up of about 20 adolescents and adults from a US military base.
The Washington Post interviewed a teenager from the group, who described the author of the leaks. The American newspaper also claims to have seen a video of a man identified as “OG” at a shooting range. “He yells racist and anti-Semitic slurs into the camera, then fires multiple shots at a target,” the report says. “OG” told other members of the same Internet group from which the secret information from the US Ministry of Defense came out that he worked in a military base, whose name is not given. The leaker’s job was to see large amounts of classified information.
The young man with whom The Washington Post has spoken assures that when the US Intelligence Services find the author of the leaks, he will not have a fair trial and will be sent instead to “Guantanamo or to some dark place“, and has even added that perhaps will be “killed”.
The reconstruction of the events made by the newspaper maintains that “OG” appears to have acted as a leader in a data information server created in 2020 on the Discord messaging platform by a small group of gun lovers. The group went by various names, but was most often known as Central Thug Shaker. Starting last year, “OG” posted the documents in a channel on the server called “Bear vs. Pig“, a reference to the Ukrainian war, but also a viral video showing the pigs fighting a black bear.
“OG” had a “dark vision of the government” of the United States, whose security forces he described as a “repressive” apparatus. He also railed against Joe Biden’s “government overreach.” The leaks offer very sensitive data, such as the president of Egypt ordered the production of 50,000 missiles to hand over Russia at the start of the war against Ukraine in 2022 or that Mossad, Israel’s spy agency, instigated street protests against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s judicial reform.
The Post not only has a source but also claims to have confirmed this information with more members of that group that seems to be the focus of the great data leak that has put the United States on the ropes.
Police and Pentagon investigators may well have already located “OG,” but when the newspaper spoke to one of his colleagues, he had not yet been arrested. In mid-March, the alleged author of the leaks stopped publishing documents, and one day before the first US outlet reported the alleged leak, he wrote in the group in a “frantic” state, assuring that “something had happened, and I prayed to God that this did not happen.”
