What is known about Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva's wedding party, which until now was kept secret

RIO DE JANEIRO.- With less than a week to go before the wedding, the guests of the former Brazilian president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (76 years old) and the sociologist Rosangela “Janja” Silva (52 years old) they began to receive their participations with the time of the party, which until then had been secret. The event will be at 7:00 p.m. next Wednesday, May 18, but the address remains under seven keys.

The couple so far no honeymoon plans. Lula and Janja will take a few days off and will remain in São Paulo, where they have lived since the beginning of the year.

The bride’s dress is signed by the stylist Heló Rocha. The menu was made by Chef Bella Gil, who is a friend of the couple and is among the 150 guests at the party.

At a PT meeting earlier this month, Lula spoke about the issue. He told those present that he is on “an eternal honeymoon with Janjinha”, as he refers to his girlfriend. The former president already has campaign agendas scheduled for the week of May 23 in Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina. Janja, as always, will accompany him.

Guests traveling from other cities were advised to arrive in São Paulo on the 17th and close the agenda on May 18th. One of the few names known from the list is that of deputy Alexandre Padilha, who is a doctor and takes care of the former president’s children.

The coordinator of Lula’s campaign, deputy Rui Falcão, was also invited. The choice of some names for the event has caused jealousy among parliamentarians.

At the same PT meeting, Lula spoke about the importance of the ceremony, which will be both civil and religious. He said that he is “sticking to the traditions” and that he wanted to receive a blessing, as he did in his previous two unions.

The couple does not want the wedding to be a political act, but the celebration must be used in the campaign, according to members of the PT. The idea is to contrast Lula with Bolsonarosaying that the president presents himself as a family man, but the reality is that the former president had his three marriages in the religious and civil spheres.
