A teacher and a student grabbed each other outside a school in Mexico City in the middle of a public road. The conflict started when the student criticized his way of teaching.
During the fight, a policeman approached to separate the protagonists. After a few attempts to get them away, he succeeded under the watchful eye of the teenagers who were there.
The teacher involved in the fight was identified as “Peters”, which would be his supposed last name. While the student was nicknamed “Golden Fists”. Both belong to the Higher School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (ESIME), belonging to the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN).
It all started when on a website that is used to rate the performance of teachers through reviews of students and former students, the young man began to criticize “Peters” for his way of teaching.
At one point, the boy’s account began to feud with an anonymous profile in the comments. The latter is believed to be the same professor. It was then that they set a day and time to meet.
“The National Polytechnic Institute (IPN) and the Higher School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (ESIME) regret and condemn the acts of violence between a teacher and a young person, since they assumed a behavior that was alien to the values and principles that are promoted in the IPN,” they wrote in a statement.
In this sense, they added: “The ESIME assumes its responsibility to ensure the safety and integrity of the members of its community and reaffirms its commitment to promote the culture of peace that distinguishes the IPN.”
In addition, the educational authorities indicated that The facts are already being investigated so that the corresponding sanctions can be applied to those involved.
