FRan Grima (Olesa de Montserrat, 02/05/1987) became the weekend against Lugo in the second player to reach 100 games with the UD Ibiza shirt. The veteran winger was honored at Can Misses and enjoyed the first 45 minutes before being substituted at half-time.
He is a benchmark in this club and for another player to reach that figure it will take a long time
Grima arrived on the island with the team in Second Division B in the summer of 2018 and soon took a place in the eleven. He is one of the captains and heavyweights in a locker room and that is one of the things that Paco Jmez highlighted after the aforementioned match against Lugo: “It is a number that speaks for itself. He has deserved the tribute and, surely, many more things. He is a benchmark in this club and for another player to reach that figure it will take a long time. He is a very important player for the fans and for the team inside the locker room.”
This was the well-deserved tribute from Can Misses to Grima…
The defender reaches 100 games, a figure that has only been surpassed by Sergio Cirio, and was happy to reach that number: “I am very happy to be able to reach this figure. When I arrived in Ibiza… you never expect to achieve this… In this time I stay with what we have lived, we have lived very beautiful moments. I prefer the promotion, the Cup qualifiers and, above all, being able to spend so much time defending these colors. Hopefully there will be many more!”

Fran Grima ends contract this season and his future is in the hands of the new sports director who is already planning the next course.
