Trump told the Fox News host, tucker carlson, that Xi is a “brilliant man“. The looks, the brains, everything,” he said. At a rally in Pennsylvania in September, Trump said Xi is “smart” in running China with “iron fist”. And during a speech at the annual World Economic Forum in Davos in January 2020, he indicated that he and Xi “love each other”.
Regarding Putin, the former president said that after seeing how the United States Army left Afghanistan, the Kremlin tenant decided to start his offensive: “Before that (the exit from Afghanistan), Putin would never have entered Ukraine. I talked to him very often about it. But when he saw these idiots, these stupid people…”. “I could see that I loved (Ukraine), who considers him part of his country, part of Russia, but I told him ‘not while I’m president’.”
