The UN secretary general confines himself after being in contact with a positive for COVID-19

NEW YORK, Dec. 8 (DPA / EP) –

The UN Secretary General, António Guterres, has confined himself as a precautionary measure after coming into contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19.

“As a precaution, (Guterres) has canceled all his commitments and will work from home until he undergoes further tests on Thursday, December 9,” said his deputy spokesman Farhan Haq.

Likewise, he has ensured that Guterres has not shown any symptoms and has tested negative in the first tests.
