The German Government considered, through its official website, that the president Alberto Fernandez “is a reliable partner” of the German nation in Latin America, while several media outlets in that country echoed the visit that the Argentine head of state made this week to Berlin, where he met with the federal chancellor Olaf Scholz.

“International and regional issues, as well as bilateral economic relations, focused the talks between the Federal Chancellor and the President Alberto Fernandez”, noted the official site.
Among the points that stand out from the official meeting held last Wednesday, is the “great agreement on the position on the war in Ukraine”.
They also highlighted that scholz celebrated “the efforts made” by Argentina to develop a new program with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to curb inflation in the country and restructure the national budget.
In that article they also point out that “during the talks the broad bilateral economic relations were discussed” and they specified that “the Chancellor underlined the will of the Federal Government to support German companies in general in their commitment to Argentina and to eliminate economic obstacles in the process”.
They also highlighted the announcement of close cooperation in the energy sector.
For its part, the newspaper Neues Deutschland –www.nd-aktuell.com- published an article titled: “The Argentine president seeks new sales opportunities in Europe”.
