LThe continuity of Tenerife in the Second Division brings with it the farewell of the three players who acted on loan with the Blue and Whites during the last course. These are the first three casualties for the next season, but the normal thing is that they also join the bulk of the players whose contract expires next June 30with the exceptions of Carlos Ruiz and Aitor Sanz, to whom the sports director has offered to continue until June 30, 2023.
While both study the proposal, Andres Martin, Mario Gonzlez, and Victor Mollejo. They have taken advantage of the last hours to say goodbye to those who were their fans through social networks. The first two, recruited on loan at the last winter market, they would have continued in Tenerife if they had risen to the First Division. It was what was agreed with their clubs of origin, Rayo Vallecano and Sporting de Braga, respectively. In the case of Mollejo, Atlético did not set any additional clause and return to Simeone’s orders after completing his stage in the Heliodorus.
“After a few very hard days, the time has come to say goodbye”, the rojiblanco wrote on his social networks this Thursday. “I want to thank Tenerife for the opportunity to have played for a historic club. I also want to remember my dear teammates. I doubt that you will find a locker room with such humble, noble and hard-working people. You really deserve the best. Finally, thank you very much hobby. You have made me feel very loved and that is the real achievement that I have taken from this year. I will always remember my time on the island as an indelible memory and I can only wish you the best from my heart. I will miss you, Blue and Whites.”
Mollejo completed the most fruitful season of his time as a player at Heliodoro. He played 41 games and managed to score three goals and distribute three assists. His more than 2,600 minutes with Tenerife exceed 2,536 that represented his record in Second after passing through Deportivo in the 2019-20 campaign.
