There are rankings for everything, including sexual desire. And in that, the Spanish men win by a landslide. This is shown by a global study by the male pleasure brand, Arcwave, which has surveyed more than 22,000 people in Europe in order to find out the state of their libido. Spanish men indicated a sexual appetite of 7.33/10, followed by Italians (7.25/10) and French (6.48/10). The Spanish women did not reach the first place, but they did the second (6.51/10), behind the Italian women (6.61/10) who lead the first European female position.
The five countries with the highest libido on the continent are Italy (6.93/10), Spain (6.91), France (6.24), England (6.22), Germany (6.09). On a global scale, the inhabitants of Hong Kong are the most lustful in the world, with an average libido of 7.16 out of 10. In the lower end of the spectrum is Japan, with a much more modest score of 4.73. Worldwide, the age group with the highest sexual desire is 25-34 years (6.73 / 10), followed by 35-44 years (6.68 / 10).
In Spain this trend is confirmed, since those with the highest libido are millennials (25 to 34 years). The surveyed Spaniards between the ages of 25 and 34 declared having the highest sexual desire (7.65/10), ahead of those belonging to Generation Z, between the ages of 18 and 24, who indicated a libido of 7.33 out of 10 Those belonging to generation X (between 40 and 60 years old) indicated a libido of 7.27 points out of 10.
libido brigade
Although insignificant, it is visible a “libido gap” between Spanish men and women (7.33 and 6.51 respectively). Scientific evidence shows that, in both sexes, this biological reaction
which has its origin in the hypothalamus – the most primitive part of the brain – is mainly mediated by testosterone levels in the blood. While men produce 95% of this androgen in the testicles, women only produce 5% in the ovaries. This difference makes the sexual desire of women is not purely hormonal, but is related to psychological factors such as emotional stability with the other person. Proof of this is that, in the case of women who are in the menopausal stage or those who have had to have their ovaries removed, the levels of this hormone are much lower, and yet, They have shown that it does not have to be decisive in their degree of arousal and sexual desire. Along the same lines, an article published in the Journal of Sex & Marital Therapy concluded that women are more likely than men to experience a decrease in sexual desire as the love relationship progresses over time.
