Every December 31, thousands of runners, fans and other ordinary citizens gather to run the 10 kilometers that separate Concha Espina from the Vallecas Stadium. The San Silvestre Vallecana is the most massive race in the country and even in 2011 it became one of the most massive in the world after passing the Sao Paulo test.
What is the virtual San Silvestre?
The health crisis resulting from the COVID 19 pandemic meant that in 2020 the race organizers will incorporate a new modality: the virtual San Silvestre. This format can be done from home or enjoying it from anywhere in the country. Those registered for this test will be able to run the 10 kilometers of the San Silvestre between December 26 and 31 thanks to an app designed for the event from anywhere. Thanks to this new tool, all runners will be able to adapt to the current situation without putting themselves at risk.
