RAdamel Falcao to continue with Rayo Vallecano the next season, something that MARCA already announced last January. And it does so after the Madrid team has “executed the option” that it had in its contract for the continuity of the Colombian striker, according to what David Cobeo, sports director of the Madrid club, told EFE. Despite the fact that Rayo has not made it official through its website and social networks, Falcao’s continuity is already specified.
“He will continue next year and it will become official in a few days. He had an option in his contract that has been executed and he will continue with us for another year,” said Cobeo, who assured that the Colombian gave “very good times during the season“to the Madrid team.
“At specific moments he has given us a goal, He has given us experience and has added a lot to the locker room because he is a player who is a reference for everyone. We are very happy to have him at Rayo and hopefully this year he can perform better. He is a player who makes a difference and we are very happy to have him”, he confessed.
Falcao, 36, signed for Rayo on September 4, 2021. Injuries prevented him from having continuity during some stretches of the seasonin which he ended up accounting for 25 games, nine as a starter, and six goals in 938 minutes of play.
