You have developed with the French Tennis Federation the e-campus system, which allows young top athletes to continue their education in the best conditions. What are the advantages of this device?
Since 2020, the E-Campus Acadomia FFT offers young athletes the opportunity to follow an education that meets academic standards, in which lessons are taught remotely on an online collective learning platform and with Acadomia teachers. This schooling model, based on a pedagogy adapted to online teaching, innovative technology and specially trained teachers, seemed to us the perfect equation to guarantee real educational performance and it is now a success with more than 100 students benefiting from this support solution.
Young people follow their lessons in virtual class, using CNED materials, by level and in small groups of a maximum of 8 students. The small number of students promotes exchanges, concentration and collaborative work, while allowing the teacher to ensure optimal individual follow-up. Difficulties can thus be identified without delay: the students then benefit from private lessons to review and deepen the notions posing problems.
This innovative and personalized approach makes it possible to provide young athletes with tailor-made and effective educational support while meeting training constraints.
What is the feedback from families? And that of the FF Tennis?
One of the major challenges of the E-Campus Acadomia is to put the family back at the heart of the dual sport and study project. Thanks to this online educational support, students follow their lessons from home, while benefiting from quality education. They optimize their time, to learn, to practice and to have free time, especially with family. This harmonious organization is ideal for guaranteeing the physical, moral and social integrity of children, who are sometimes under 12 years old.
The benefits of this model are reflected in the loyalty of 95% of families, which we follow from year to year, but also on the performance of the students of the E-Campus Acadomia FFT, which is a real asset for the FFT in monitoring and the detection of the future elites of French tennis. For example, this year, several French champions such as Eleejah Inisan, Lina Mislimi or Lucas Bazin are supported by Acadomia in their schooling and we like to think that this is no coincidence.
Each sporting discipline has its own specificities (individual sport, team sport) and different means to devote to these subjects. How can we democratize this type of solution?
As recommended in the latest inter-ministerial report, we believe that it is necessary to develop educational and sports systems that promote access to high-level sport. It is for this reason that we committed more than 15 years ago to committed sports organizations placing education at the center of their sports project such as the French Tennis Federation and the French Handball Federation, but also clubs professional sports like AJ Auxerre, Stade Français and more recently FC Lorient.
Democratizing these solutions that are truly adapted to high-level athletes requires better informing French sports players of existing systems, developing synergies between the Ministry of Sports and the Ministry of National Education, but also finding means of financing to support the deployment of training for high-level athletes, including athletes who are not yet registered on the ministerial lists and who therefore do not benefit from specific aid.
In this context, we believe that it is essential to improve the conditions of schooling for high-level sports students in their path to high-level accession, taking into account the specificities of their sport through regular exchanges with the federations. sports and the construction of personalized models for each sport. We are fully committed to this dual curriculum approach and we are optimistic about the desire of federations and the sports world to innovate to find solutions, by involving the public and the private sector, federations and families. We prove every day that it is possible!
