The tragic episode occurred this Saturday at noon in Haulover Inlet Bridge, one of the bridges that connect the mainland with the island of Miami Beach. According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the aircraft was a single-engine Cessna 172 that lost power before crashing on the bridge, about 5 miles (8 km) east of the Opa-Locka airport.

In images transmitted by the local television channel NBC6, it looks a column of smoke left by the single-engine plane and the car with the entire front end destroyed.
Personnel from the Miami-Dade County Fire Department arrived on the scene near Collins Avenue, one of the most important avenues in Miami Beach. The two preliminary victims of the accident they were transported to the Ryder Trauma Center with burns.

Authorities estimate that the plane left the Hollywood-Fort Lauderdale International Airport. with three people on board, with the objective of landing at the Key West International Airport.
Of the six injured, two were transported with serious injuries to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, while the others were taken to local hospitals with injuries that were not life-threatening.
