twelve years That is the time that has passed since RCD Mallorca started a bankruptcy to settle their accounts and leave behind a debt of 65 million euros. As ratified by the Official Gazette of the Mercantile Registry (the BORME), the bankruptcy proceedings have ended. The “cessation of all limitations on the powers of administration and disposition of the bankrupt” was also confirmed.
It should be remembered that last summer Mallorca itself reported that when the 2020-21 season ended, the debt with the Treasury had come to an end. Now it was necessary to contact the Tax Agency, something that has already been achieved as well. The arrival of Robert Sarver and company has been key to seeing how this debt has been reduced little by little, to the point of being non-existent.
After the publication of the BORME, Mallorca closes one of the most delicate episodes in its entire history. And it is that just before entering the bankruptcy proceedings, the Balearic entity – back in 2010 – was concerned with the disappearance. The shareholders have been injecting enough economic muscle so that, little by little, this situation of tranquility has been achieved. Moreover, these shareholders have bet more than 40 million euros since 2016, of which 25 have been used to settle the debt.
