ANDthe player of Grenade, Jorge Molinawent through the microphones of ‘The Quintana Slate’ to speak with Miguel Quintana, Lex de Llano and Adrian Blanco of the victory of Grenade against him against Athletic Club in this final stretch of the season, in addition to all the details of his professional career in the middle of the fight for permanencewhich he himself defined as “the worst” because of the pressure that it entails.
When have you slept better, after beating Athletic or after beating Mallorca?: “After the games I find it hard to sleep a little bit, but the truth is that we are much more relaxed after these two games. Getting these six points has been very good for us.”
Has there been a Karanka revolution?: “Revolución no. It has given us a lot of peace of mind and has corrected things that I thought we were not doing well. The results are now much more favourable.”
How does a 40-year-old striker evolve?: “Every time it costs more. Physically you are not like when you were 20 or 25 years old. I try to keep everything more controlled: rest, food, training afterwards in the gym… That constancy, through experience and knowing my body I know it makes me feel better.”
Do you feel more comfortable alone or with another striker next to you?: “You have to adapt to each coach. I’ve always preferred to play with another striker next to you because you can take advantage of their movements. You try to help in every way”.
What has changed between the Molina of 2014, with the relegation of Betis, and that of 2022, with the fight for the permanence of Granada?: “The fight for permanence is always the same old shit. It’s a complicated situation. It hurt that I didn’t live in this situation, fortunately. Since Karanka’s arrival, the results have improved and we’re going to try to finish the job.”
