UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has assured Ukraine that his government will be on his side “in the long term” in the face of the “war fatigue” that is beginning to appear around the conflict in the countryas he made known during a new visit to kyiv after the EU recommendation, with conditions, in favor of Ukrainian accession to the European bloc.
“We are concerned that a bit of fatigue is starting to set in around Ukraine, but we have to understand that these people are suffering terribly in the east of their country”, He has stated in comments collected by Sky News, upon his return from Ukraine.
The British Prime Minister has accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of “continue to commit appalling atrocities” and has warned that “the Russians are advancing, inch by inch” on the Donbas front.
However, the British prime minister, as the country’s General Staff stated yesterday, has assured that “the Russians continue to suffer enormous casualties, they are running out of much of their most sophisticated weaponry and their positional weapons are beginning to be depleted very severely” .
“We have to send the message to the Ukrainians and to the world about how strongly we are backing this country, and how important it is that they succeed,” he concluded.
