Likewise, it has indicated that there are currently 57,858 active cases, including 125 patients in serious condition, 46 of whom are in critical condition, including 15 who are connected to respirators due to COVID-19.
On the other hand, it has pointed out that 6,595,473 people have received at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine, of which 5,941,477 already have the complete schedule and 4,284,424 have received a third booster dose.
About 61 percent of the 9.4 million Israelis have the full vaccination schedule, which means that about a third of the population does not have immunity to the pandemic.
The Prime Minister of Israel, Naftali Bennett, announced on Sunday the approval of the administration of a fourth dose of the vaccine to the population over 60 years and health personnel.
In addition, he affirmed that vaccinated people from 5 years old who test negative will not have to keep quarantine by contact, while those who are not vaccinated will have to keep quarantine for seven days even if they test negative.
