Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said Tuesday that Israel is fighting “day and night” against the “forces of evil” in the Middle East, after Syria denounced an attack on the port of the city of Latakia and attributed it to the Israeli Army.
“We are driving back the forces of evil in this region day and night,” he said, before guaranteeing that Israel “will not stop for a second.” “This happens almost daily,” he added, noting that Israel will be “persistent,” according to the newspaper ‘The Times of Israel’.
The Syrian authorities on Tuesday denounced a missile attack against the port of Latakia, located in eastern Syria, which they attributed to the Israeli Army.
Israeli forces carry out dozens of bombings in Syria arguing that they are acting to prevent the establishment of Iranian bases in the country and the shipment of weapons to the Lebanese Shiite party-militia Hezbollah by the Iranian authorities, which support Damascus in the framework from the war that broke out in 2011.
