Islamic State has claimed responsibility of a massacre of Afghan journalists, of the Shiite religion, in the city of Balkh, in the province of Mazār-e Šarīf. “30 Shiites and journalists hostile to the Islamic State were killed and wounded in a new bombardment that hit a Shiite center in the Balkh province of the same city,” says the Amaq agency, controlled by the terrorists.
“The explosion was caused by a booby-trapped bag that Islamic State fighters were able to plant and detonate inside the Iranian-affiliated Shiite center “Al-Tibyan.” The bombing targeted a party that was organized inside the Shiite center to honor several journalists working in different media agencies who were involved in the war and incitement against the Islamic State.”
“The explosion resulted in the deaths and injuries of around 30 journalists and Shiites who were organizing the party, as well as members of the Taliban militia who were guarding the venue, which was badly damaged by the explosion.” Remember that the attack occurred two days after the attack that cost the life of the governor of said province “which confirms the ability of the Islamic State to repeat its actions despite the efforts of the Taliban militia to prevent it.”
