Osasuna has managed to end his losing streak with a very convincing performance, something that has left his coach very satisfied: “The team needed a game and a victory like this, we played a complete game, an important victory. We took a step forward in the classification and at a level of self-esteem that’s what we needed, this is going to give us strength.”
A brave Osasuna who has gone for the game at all times: “The first few minutes have been very good, we have played in a rival field, with a disallowed goal… We were fine, they have adjusted and things have equalized. The team had a good second half and the goal freed us, We have defended well and we have continued looking for the second goal”.
Despite its great staging, the game, as on other occasions, seemed to be entrenched, but Osasuna has followed the plan until achieving the three points: “We stayed in the game, we played a great game and the goal freed us up, I liked that we didn’t defend the 0-1, we looked for the second and that speaks of the team’s ambition”.
It will be good for us to recover the joy
With this victory, Pamplona once again distanced themselves from the lower zone: “At the qualifying level, the margin of ten points is fine, we are taking an important step, but for the group it has been incredible, everyone has contributed and it will be good for us to recover that happiness on a day-to-day basis that is important to us”.
A victory against a direct rival that Arrasate wanted to highlight: “We have to give value to this victory, Granada at home was doing very well, it’s the first match that they haven’t scored. We controlled the game and we had the chances to win, it’s a deserved victory, I give it a lot of value to the game that we have played and what we have not allowed Granada to do”.
In another delicate moment Osasuna has managed to react: “We won against Cádiz on a certain day, but we needed something like that away from home, the team knows the path it has chosen, we are a team in capital letters, these players deserve the utmost respect. Now there is a lot of joy in the locker room”.
