The Swiss newspaper ‘Le Matin’ reports that Christian eriksen is training in the FC Chiasso, a third division club in the country. The Danish player had been with his childhood club, Odense, since he received medical clearance to return to training, but has recently moved to Central Europe.
The publication adds that the midfielder is “in transit” and that he hopes to sign for a new club from January. The Premier League or the Dutch league would be among their priorities.
Eriksen and Inter recently ended the contract, by mutual agreement, after the player collapsed on the field during Euro’2020, in Denmark’s match against Finland.
The footballer needed to be resuscitated and later a defibrillator was implanted in his heart which, according to the rules of Serie A, makes it impossible for him to play in Italy.
“Christian is doing well,” the player’s agent, Martin Schoots, told Sky Sports earlier this month. “We hope he can return to professional football, there is no reason not to be optimistic.”
In England they say there are Premier League teams interested in the 29-year-old midfielder, but Ajax, where he was part of their squad and made his senior debut, could also be his destination this winter.
