The attacker Miguel Baeza is one of Eduardo “Chacho” Coudet’s technical discards for tonight’s match against Atlético Baleares in the Copa del Rey, before his imminent transfer to LaLiga SmartBank’s Ponferradina.
The Cordoba footballer, signed by the Galician entity in the summer of 2020 from Real Madrid Castilla, said goodbye to his teammates after the last training session at the Afouteza sports city, and this morning he traveled to Ponferrada to undergo a medical examination prior to his signing for the group directed by Jon Pérez Bolo.
Baeza has barely counted for Coudet since the arrival of the Argentine coach to Balaídos. In the current league championship he has only played one minute against Atlético de Madrid, while in the Copa del Rey he was aligned against CD Ebro and Andorra.
It is not the only last minute absence in the Celta cup call. Goalkeeper Rubén Blanco is out at the last minute for the match that the Galician team will play against Atlético Baleares tonight, after having contact with a positive for coronavirus.
His absence is a setback for coach Eduardo “Chacho” Coudet, who had planned to rest Argentine Matías Dituro at the Balearic Stadium, as he had already done in the previous qualifiers that his team played against CD Ebro and Andorra.
Rubén Blanco has tested negative in the last few hours, but Celta’s medical services understand that “for prevention” it is better not to travel to Mallorca, sources from the Galician entity informed Efe.
