At least two sailors have died due to an explosion aboard the Albacora Cuatro, a ship owned by the European Tuna Company from Vigo which is in Puerto Victoria, the capital of the Seychelles Islands, according to ‘La Voz de Galicia’.
Apparently an ammonia leak has been the cause of the accident that has caused the mobilization of half a dozen ambulances. In the absence of official confirmation, two people working on the machineboth Galician, are the ones who have lost their lives as a result of a blowout.
A total of 31 crew members were on the ship, which was anchored. The two deceased were at the bottom of the boat, according to some sailors when they were evicted. Last month she had unloaded in port and, on her way back to sea, she suffered a breakdown. They had to be towed to repair the engine in port.
The ship Albacora Four has been working in the Indian Ocean for many yearswhere he was kidnapped for three days by Somali pirates in 2000. At that time he had 27 crew members.
