The Boeing 777, which carried 129 passengers and 14 crew members, was greeted upon his return to Florida by Miami police, who escorted the passenger away without incident.
American Airlines, for its part, specified that the client involved in this incident was included in the “internal rejection list” of the airline and will conduct an investigation into the incident.
The civil aviation regulatory body, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) declared in January 2021 a zero tolerance policy towards passengers who avoid wearing a mask.
The on-board personnel have recorded a good number of cases of verbal or physical violence by travelers dissatisfied with this health standard.
